Saint Joseph School is established in 1999, is a Christian minority educational institution. It is managed by St. Thomas Trust Bhavnagar, Saint Chavara Vice Province of the CMI Congregation. The Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) the first indigenous religious order of Catholic priests and brothers, founded in 1831 by Saint Kuriakose Elias, took up education as service to the nation from the time of its founding fathers. Saint Kuriakose Elias was a man ahead of his time and laid the foundation for the educational, social and other progressive fields of service to humanity in which the congregation is engaged at present.

In the educational field, the Carmelite Congregation has one autonomous university and runs number of university colleges, medical colleges, hundreds of schools and technical training centers throughout India.

Saint Joseph school is recognized by the department of education, Gujarat state.

The school is staffed by a dedicated team of CMI fathers, Dominican Sisters (O.P. Sisters), and other teachers from different parts of the country. Though the school maintains its Christian identity, admission is open to all, irrespective of religion, caste or creed and imparts education, based on religious and moral values.

Our Vision

The management considers the school as a powerful agent of change forming `new persons` who foster universal and eternal values and are fully alive to bring about a just society. So we strive to decision making, which are needed for full and faithful life.

The school is grouped into four houses for the purpose of different activities. Inter house championship shield is awarded to the house that scores highest points in a year.

Our different activities include:

  • Weekly meeting of Literary and Cultural Association (L.C.A)
  • Inter-house debates and quiz competitions.
  • Talent show, inter house games, athletic and cultural competitions.
  • Labour Day, annual day, sports meet, study tour, picnic.
  • Regular instruction in physical education and facilities for outdoor games and exercises.
  • Different clubs and associations like FOES (Friends of Environment and Science) Writer's forum, Computer Club, Music Club, School Club, School Band, and Athletic Club.
  • Celebrating the major feasts of religions in order to promote communal harmony and respect for all religions.
